Baseball Recap: Johnson City Picks Up Seventh Straight Win at Home

Johnson City entered their tilt with Center Point on Tuesday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Pirates a 16-0 shutout. The Eagles might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 18 games by six runs or more this season.

Johnson City pushed their record up to 19-2 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.9 runs on average over those games. As for Center Point, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-12.

Coincidentally, Johnson City and Center Point will both be playing San Saba the next time they take the field. The Eagles will head out to face the Armadillos at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, while the Pirates will host them at 6:00 p.m. on the 22nd.
