Recap: Frankfort Redbirds vs. Hamilton County Foxes
The Frankfort Redbirds's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their fourth straight loss. They were outmatched by Hamilton County at home and fell 64-34. Frankfort has struggled against Hamilton County recently, as their contest on Saturday was their ninth consecutive lost matchup.
Hamilton County's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Rayci Phelps, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and ten rebounds. Phelps is on a roll when it comes to points, as she's now scored 15 or more in the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Peyton Harmon, who scored 14 points along with six assists and six rebounds.
Frankfort dropped their record down to 3-23 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Hamilton County, their victory bumped their record up to 11-13.
Frankfort will head out on the road to take on Benton at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Hamilton County, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Carmi-White County at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Carmi-White County will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.
