Basketball Game Preview: New Richland-Hartland-Ellendale-Geneva Panthers vs. Martin County West Mavericks

The New Richland-Hartland-Ellendale-Geneva Panthers will head out to square off against the Martin County West Mavericks at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. New Richland-Hartland-Ellendale-Geneva comes in still looking for their first win of the season.

Last Monday, New Richland-Hartland-Ellendale-Geneva had to suffer through a 82-52 loss at the hands of Lake Crystal-Wellcome Memorial. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota basketball rankings (they are ranked 401st, while the Knights are ranked 75th).

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Martin County West, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They came out on top against Nicollet by a score of 61-48 on Tuesday. The victory was some much needed relief for the Mavericks as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.

Martin County West's win bumped their record up to 5-12. As for New Richland-Hartland-Ellendale-Geneva, their loss dropped their record down to 0-14.
