Soccer Recap: New Hope Takes a Loss

New Hope was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Hokes Bluff Eagles. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Hokes Bluff this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-1 back in March.

New Hope's goal came courtesy of Addie Welch, who's now up to 50 this season.

New Hope's defeat dropped their record down to 14-10. As for Hokes Bluff, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 9-6 record this season.

As of now, neither New Hope nor Hokes Bluff have any future games scheduled.
