Volleyball Recap: Chariho Takes a Loss

Chariho lost against North Kingstown back in May of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Chargers lost 3-0 to the Skippers. The Chargers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Chariho took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-9, 25-14, 25-15.

Reid McCann paced Chariho's offense, picking up three kills. McCann got some help from Ricky Comolli and his five assists. Landon Marland controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Evan Shea was nothing short of spectacular for North Kingstown: he had nine digs and five aces. Those five aces gave Shea a new career-high. Stephen Dufour was another key player, getting 11 digs and two aces.

Chariho now has a losing record of 1-2. As for North Kingstown, they pushed their record up to 2-0 with the victory, which was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Chariho will face off against rival Cranston West at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, North Kingstown is set to challenge their familiar foe La Salle Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
