Volleyball Recap: Community Christian Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Community Christian can now relate to. They fell 2-0 to the Lafayette Christian Cougars on Thursday. The defeat leaves the Knights still looking for their first win of the season.

Lafayette Christian's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Madison McArthur, who had five aces and three blocks. That's the most aces McArthur has posted since back in September. Samantha Butler was another key player, getting eight assists and two aces.

Community Christian's loss dropped their record down to 0-14. As for Lafayette Christian, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-6.

Community Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Lafayette Christian, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-1 victory against Harvester Christian Academy on the 2nd.
