Basketball Recap: Oakwood Snaps Five-Game Streak of Losses at Home

After losing to Georgetown-Ridge Farm the last time they met, Oakwood decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Oakwood Comets took down the Georgetown-Ridge Farm Buffaloes 42-28 on Thursday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Comets.

Oakwood can attribute much of their success to Bella Bradford, who posted ten points. Another player making a difference was Gracie Hanner, who put up six points and four steals.

Oakwood's victory ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 8-14. As for Georgetown-Ridge Farm, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-8.

Oakwood will have a chance to go back-to-back against Georgetown-Ridge Farm: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
