League recap: Edwards overpowering for Desert Christian in past week

IV Section II league recap: 3/27/13

IV Section II's top pitcher this week was Desert Christian's Andrew Edwards. He won one game and retired 15 batters.

Ray had a successful week, as it won four total games to lead the league. The Bearcats beat Hayden 12-2, Valley Lutheran 17-5, Florence 13-4 and Northland Prep Academy 7-4.

Duncan boasted the best pitching over the past week, holding opponents to the league's fewest hits and issuing the fewest walks.

The league boasted 26 .400 hitters over the past week. The group was paced by Collin Wiley, who collected three hits in four at bats for a .750 average.

Alex Carrera struck out nine in Ray's 12-2 win over the Lobos on March 25. He gave up four hits and two runs over six innings of work.



Camron White was an RBI machine on Tuesday, as he knocked in four runs during the Eagles' 39-1 win over San Miguel. He went 2-for-3 and scored six runs.
