Basketball Recap: Maeser Prep Academy Lions vs. North Sevier Wolves

Maeser Prep Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 61-54 hit to the loss column at the hands of the North Sevier Wolves. The Lions were not able to make up for their defeat to the Wolves from their previous meeting back in November of 2024.

Leading North Sevier to victory were Brody Bulloch and Kade Johnson. Bulloch went 10-for-21 en route to 24 points and three steals, while Johnson shot 42% from the field to rack up 17 points along with six boards and five assists. What's more, Bulloch posted two blocks, the most he's had since back in December of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Koy Wasden, who scored four points and three steals.

Maeser Prep Academy's loss dropped their record down to 4-4. As for North Sevier, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 5-2.

Maeser Prep Academy has already played their next matchup (against Draper APA), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for North Sevier, they will venture away from home to square off against Enterprise at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
