Basketball Game Preview: Central Woodstock Falcons vs. Page County Panthers

The Central Woodstock Falcons will square off against the Page County Panthers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Central Woodstock is coming into the contest hot, having won their last four games.

Last Wednesday, Central Woodstock beat Rappahannock County 51-42. Given the Falcons' advantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 81st, while Rappahannock County are ranked 295th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Page County hadn't done well against Clarke County recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. Page County secured a 63-57 W over Clarke County. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Panthers.

Central Woodstock's win was their ninth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 15-2. As for Page County, they are also on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 11-8 record this season.

Central Woodstock took their victory against Page County in their previous matchup on Monday by a conclusive 61-41. Will Central Woodstock repeat their success, or does Page County have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
