Soccer Recap: Loveland's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Winton Woods kept up with Loveland until halftime on Thursday, but afterwards: not so much. The Tigers' defense stepped up to hand the Warriors a 3-0 shutout. The final result isn't all that surprising considering Loveland's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio soccer rankings (they are ranked 78th, while Winton Woods are ranked 356th).

The win snapped Loveland's losing streak at three matches and leaves them with a 9-3-1 record. As for Winton Woods, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-8-1 record this season.

Loveland will head out to square off against Miamisburg at 7:15 p.m. on Saturday. As for Winton Woods, they will host Roger Bacon at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
