League recap: Britton dominating on the mound for Sundown

Bryce Britton was the best pitcher in 1A Region I District 4 this week, leading Sundown. He won zero games and struck out seven batters.

Smyer went from 12628 to 12437 in the national rankings since last week after going 2-0 in the past seven days. The Bobcats are currently No. 1013 in the Texas state rankings, with an overall record of 10-8.

The Roughnecks' pitching was especially stingy this week, allowing six hits and three walks to lead the league in both categories. On the season, Sundown has allowed just 127 hits, while striking out 176 batters. Keegan Newsom leads Sundown with 63 strikeouts in 53 innings pitched.
