 Meigs never let their opponents score on Friday. They skirted past the Vinton County Vikings  2-0. The  victory made it back-to-back  wins for Meigs.
 Not much got past  Natalie Goode, who gave up just  three  hits and racked up nine Ks to keep Vinton County off the board. Goode has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't  tossed less than five  strikeouts in four consecutive pitching appearances.
 On the hitting side,  Delana Wright was  excellent,  going 3-for-4 with a  triple and a  stolen base. The team also got some help courtesy of  Chloe Burnem, who  scored a  run while going 2-for-3.
 Meigs is  on a roll lately: they've  won three of their last four matchups,  which provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record  this season. As for Vinton County, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-8.
 Meigs will head out on the road to  square off against  Wellston at 5:00  p.m.  on Monday. Wellston is on a nine-game streak of home wins, Meigs a three-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the field. Vinton County will take on River Valley at 5:00  p.m.  on Monday.
