Softball Game Preview: West Brook Bruins vs. Lee Ganders

The West Brook Bruins will take on the Lee Ganders at 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday. West Brook has given up an average of 11.8 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week.

West Brook is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They walked away with a 14-11 win over Nederland on Monday. The victory was some much needed relief for the Bruins as it spelled an end to their six-game losing streak.

Keyunna Thomas (2026) was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing a base while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. Kya Hadnot (2025) was another key player, scoring three runs while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances.

Meanwhile, Lee was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They came up short against Barbers Hill, falling 17-0.

West Brook's win was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 3-9. As for Lee, their loss dropped their record down to 1-8-1.
