Football Recap: Westwood Takes a Loss

Westwood lost against Jensen Beach back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Panthers had to suffer through a 44-8 loss at the hands of the Falcons. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida football rankings (they are ranked 218th, while the Falcons are ranked 97th).

Westwood now has a losing record of 0-1-1. As for Jensen Beach, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-0.

Westwood and Jensen Beach will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Panthers are set to take on their familiar foe Martin County at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Jensen Beach will challenge rival Sebastian River at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
