Basketball Recap: Butler Takes a Loss

The Butler Bears lost 63-41 to the Lone Jack Mules on Wednesday. While losing is never fun, the Bears can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 313th, while the Mules are ranked 103rd).

Butler has been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-10 record this season. As for Lone Jack, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 11-2-1 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Butler has already played their next game (against Adrian), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Lone Jack will face off against Santa Fe at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
