Baseball Recap: Aurora Christian Comes Up Short

Aurora Christian entered their game against Marian Central Catholic on Tuesday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Eagles lost 12-4 to the Hurricanes. The Eagles were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Hurricanes earlier this season, when they won 14-5.

Aurora Christian saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Owen Niedzwiecki, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, two doubles, and one RBI. Another was Kaleb Elwood, who went 2-for-4 with one run and one double.

Aurora Christian's loss dropped their record down to 10-6. As for Marian Central Catholic, the win snapped their losing streak at four games and leaves them with a 6-13 record.

Coming up, Aurora Christian will take on Westminster Christian at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Warriors will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each matchup than the last. As for Marian Central Catholic, they will challenge Timothy Christian at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Hurricanes are facing the Trojans at the right time seeing as the Trojans are stuck on a six-game losing streak.
