Soccer Recap: Pickens Takes a Loss

After flying high against Gilmer last Monday, Pickens came back down to earth. The Pickens Dragons fell 2-0 to the Dawson County Tigers on Thursday. The contest was a 0-0 toss-up at halftime, but the Dragons couldn't quite close it out.

Pickens' defeat dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Dawson County, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-2.

Coming up, Pickens will challenge Union County at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Dawson County, they will square off against Jefferson at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
