Volleyball Recap: Oakcrest Gets the Win

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Immanuel Christian, Oakcrest was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Trinity at Meadow View Tempest. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Chargers also won the last time the pair played back in September of 2024.

While Oakcrest might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Trinity at Meadow View scored at least 19 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 18-25, 25-22, 25-23.

Maddie McDonnell paced Oakcrest's offense, picking up eight kills. McDonnell got some help from Maeve O'Beirne and her six assists. Alice McNiff controlled things from the service line, finishing with seven aces.

Oakcrest's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Trinity at Meadow View, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-5.

Looking ahead, Oakcrest will welcome Saint John Paul the Great Catholic at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Trinity at Meadow View, they are taking a road trip to challenge Wakefield Country Day at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
