Halls took a 12-run loss the last time they faced off against South-Doyle, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Red Devils' pitchers stepped up to hand the Cherokees a 1-0 shutout on Saturday. This was a revenge game for the Red Devils: when they faced off against the Cherokees back in March, they had to take a 12-0 defeat.

Halls' win bumped their record up to 7-9. As for South-Doyle, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-13-1 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Halls will welcome Campbell County at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
