Volleyball Game Preview: East Hartford Hornets vs. Windsor Warriors

The East Hartford Hornets will venture away from home to take on the Windsor Warriors at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.

East Hartford is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Connecticut's top teams: Newington, who was ranked fifth at the time (East Hartford was ranked 18th). The Hornets lost 3-0 to the Nor'easters on Monday.

While East Hartford had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 20 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 25-22, 25-20.

Meanwhile, it was close, but on Tuesday Windsor sidestepped Sports & Medical Sciences Academy/Bulkeley for a 3-2 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Warriors.

East Hartford has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-8 record this season. As for Windsor, their victory bumped their record up to 8-10.

East Hartford came out on top in a nail-biter against Windsor in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, sneaking past 3-2. Do the Hornets have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Warriors turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
