Baseball Recap: North Central's Undefeated Season over After Three Games

North Central was the 9-8 winner over Holgate when they last played one another back in April of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Eagles fell just short of the Tigers by a score of 3-2 on Thursday. The loss put an end to the Eagles' undefeated start to the season.

North Central saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Tyler Meyers, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3. Meyers has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times he's played.

Having lost for the first time this season, North Central fell to 2-1. As for Holgate, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.

North Central wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 6-0 defeat against Montpelier on the 11th. As for Holgate, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 10-1 loss against Fort Jennings on the 12th.
