If Newman Grove/St. Edward wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Fullerton, they should've done a better job of containing Jaci Maxfield. Everything went the Fullerton Warriors' way against the Newman Grove/St. Edward Panthers on Tuesday as the Fullerton Warriors made off with a 59-34 win thanks to Maxfield, who went 10-for-17 to rack up 26 points along with six boards and five steals. Maxfield is crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least two every time she's taken the court this season.

Riley Thomas was another key player, going 5-for-9 en route to 13 points. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in points.

Despite the loss, Newman Grove/St. Edward still got an impressive performance from Kailey Patzel, who dropped a double-double with 19 points and 24 rebounds. That was a full 55.9% of Newman Grove/St. Edward's points, marking the fifth time in a row Patzel has posted more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Allyx Forre, who had four points.

Fullerton's victory bumped their record up to 8-13. As for Newman Grove/St. Edward, they are on a 12-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-19.

Fullerton didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 63-25 loss against Central City on the 14th. As for Newman Grove/St. Edward, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 62-59 win against Central Valley on the 13th.
