Basketball Recap: Thursday's Loss Ends Laurel-Concord-Coleridge's Winning Streak

If Laurel-Concord-Coleridge was riding high fresh off their 61-37 takedown of Summerland [Clearwater/Ewing/Orchard] last Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Laurel-Concord-Coleridge Bears took a 46-42 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Elkhorn Valley Falcons. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bears this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 80-52 back in January.

It was another big night for Jj Black, who went 8 for 15 on her way to 18 points along with eight boards and five blocks for Elkhorn Valley. Black is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last ten games she's played. Another player making a difference was Cameron Rutjens, who posted 12 points.
