Soccer Game Preview: Cane Bay vs. Stratford

Cane Bay is 1-9 against Stratford since April of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Cobras will head out to face off against the Knights at 7:00 p.m. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Cane Bay is likely headed into the match with a focus on the second half, which is when things went downhill against Wando last Thursday. The Cobras fell 3-1 to the Warriors. While losing is never fun, Cane Bay can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 70th, while Wando are ranked first).

Cane Bay's goal came courtesy of Brayson Clark, who's now up to four this season.

Meanwhile, Stratford was not able to break out of their rough patch last Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 1-0 heartbreaker at the hands of Lucy Beckham.

Cane Bay's defeat dropped their record down to 6-8-1. As for Stratford, they now have a losing record of 7-8.

Cane Bay might still be hurting after the 4-0 loss they got from Stratford when the teams last played back in March. Can the Cobras avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
