Volleyball Recap: Gunnison Cowboys vs. Sterling Tigers
Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Gunnison couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They lost 3-0 to the Sterling Tigers on Thursday. The shutout was out of character for the Cowboys seeing as the last time the team failed to score was back in October.
Their offense was headlined by Rose Kowal and Aubrey Welfelt, who picked up five kills apiece. They got some help from Natalia Sabino and her eight assists. Finally, Kowal was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high three blocks.
