Paris's game  on Saturday was a  loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them  on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by  a  12-5 margin over the Bourbon County Colonels. The Greyhounds might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 14 contests by six  runs or more this season.
 Dexter Leverett made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound,   striking out 12 batters over  seven innings while giving up just two earned  (and three unearned) runs off   two  hits. Those  12  strikeouts gave  him a new career-high. He was also solid in the batter's box,  getting on base  in three of his four plate appearances with two  runs and one  stolen base.
 In other batting news, Paris got a  massive  performance out of  Cameron Mays, who  went 2-for-3 with three  stolen bases, three  runs,  and one  RBI.  Karson Hickerson was another key player,  going 2-for-3 with three  RBI, two  runs,  and one  double.
Paris is  on a roll lately: they've  won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-7 record  this season. Those  wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 9.0 runs over those games. As for Bourbon County, their defeat was  their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which  dropped their record down to 1-13.
 Looking ahead, Paris will face off against Fleming County at 5:30  p.m.  on Wednesday. As for Bourbon County, they will venture away from home to  challenge Menifee County  at 6:00  p.m.  on Wednesday.
