Basketball Game Preview: USC-MAE Trojans vs. Aspire Ollin Jaguars

The USC-MAE Trojans will head out on the road to square off against the Aspire Ollin Jaguars at 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Neither of these teams found much success offensively their last time out, scoring well below their season average.

USC-MAE is headed into the matchup out to prove that what happened against Manual Arts on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. USC-MAE was outmatched by Manual Arts and fell 77-22. The Trojans were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 47-15.

Despite the loss, USC-MAE got top-tier performance from Adrion Gilbert, who posted 16 points. The contest was Gilbert's third in a row with at least ten points.

Meanwhile, Aspire Ollin took a blow against Animo Bunche on Tuesday, falling 53-26. The Jaguars have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Aspire Ollin's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for USC-MAE, their loss dropped their record down to 1-3.

USC-MAE beat Aspire Ollin 55-47 in their previous meeting back in January. Will USC-MAE repeat their success, or does Aspire Ollin have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
