Basketball Recap: Charles J. Colgan Comes Up Short

Charles J. Colgan suffered their biggest defeat since January 21st on Thursday. They came up short against the Gar-Field Red Wolves, falling 80-54. The Sharks were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Red Wolves earlier this season, when they won 57-54.

Gar-Field found their leader in sophomore Jonathan Jason Bell, who went 11-for-22 to rack up 28 points in addition to seven steals and five rebounds. The game was Bell's 16th in a row with at least 15 points. Shane Norman was another key player, going 5-for-7 on his way to 12 points and three steals.

Charles J. Colgan's loss dropped their record down to 15-9. As for Gar-Field, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 15-9 record this season.

Charles J. Colgan does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Gar-Field, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 59-45 defeat against Potomac Senior on the 14th.
