Volleyball Recap: Albertville Beats Plainview for Their Third Straight Victory

Albertville had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Plainview Bears. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent victory being a 2-1 win last Saturday.

Albertville had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 20-25, 25-18, 25-15, 25-23.

Despite the loss, Plainview had strong showings from Charlie Richey, who had 23 digs and two assists, and Caroline Parker, who had 11 digs.

Albertville's victory bumped their record up to 25-14. As for Plainview, their defeat ended a five-match streak of wins at home and dropped them to 28-13.

Looking ahead, Albertville will be taking part in a tournament against St. Luke's Episcopal at 2:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Plainview, they will venture away from home to take on Cherokee County at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
