Basketball Recap: Blountstown Piles Up the Points Against Liberty County

Blountstown won the last time they faced Liberty County and things went their way on Friday too. The Blountstown Tigers breezed by the Liberty County Bulldogs to the tune of 55-14. The Tigers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven matchups by 27 points or more this season.

Despite the defeat, Liberty County saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Haven Davis posted nine points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaylee Sexton, who had five points.

The win made it two in a row for Blountstown and bumps their season record up to 8-3. As for Liberty County, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-4.

Blountstown will be playing at home against Freeport at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The timing is sure in Blountstown's favor as the team sits on 12 straight wins at home (dating back to last season) while Freeport has been banged up by three consecutive losses on the road. As for Liberty County, they will head out to challenge Wewahitchka at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
