Football Game Preview: West Hall Spartans vs. Cherokee Bluff Bears

West Hall hasn't had much luck against Cherokee Bluff recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Spartans will head out to face off against the Bears at 7:30 p.m. West Hall has given up an average of 41 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

On Friday, West Hall was beaten by Jefferson 49-6. While losing is never fun, the Spartans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia football rankings (they are ranked 330th, while the Dragons are ranked 19th).

Meanwhile, while it was all tied up 7-7 at halftime, Cherokee Bluff was not quite Oconee County's equal in the second half on Friday. They fell 28-24 to the Warriors.

The loss was their first at home , dropping their record down to 4-2. As for West Hall, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-4.

West Hall was taken down by Cherokee Bluff 41-14 when the teams last played back in October of 2024. Can the Spartans avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
