Basketball Recap: Gavin Hicks Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat New Life Christian Academy

There's no place like home for Christian Ministries Academy, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Thursday. They walked away with a 78-66 victory over New Life Christian Academy on Friday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 57-34 back in November of 2024.

Christian Ministries Academy got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Gavin Hicks out in front who almost dropped a triple-double on 24 points, ten boards, and nine assists. Hicks has been hot for a while, having also posted two or more steals the last 23 times he's played. Nolan Bradshaw was another key player, going 11 for 15 en route to 26 points along with five assists and five rebounds.

Christian Ministries Academy's victory bumped their record up to 17-5. As for New Life Christian Academy, they have also traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-6 record this season.

As of now, neither Christian Ministries Academy nor New Life Christian Academy have any future games scheduled.
