Volleyball Recap: Phillips Takes a Loss

Phillips was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Chicago Military Academy Eagles. While the Wildcats didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Eagles 25-16 in the first set.

Phillips started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last two. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 16-25, 25-18, 25-23.

Phillips' loss dropped their record down to 5-8. As for Chicago Military Academy, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-4.

As of now, neither Phillips nor the Eagles have any future games scheduled.
