            Softball Recap: Triton Hawks vs. Western Harnett Eagles        
        
		
        
        
            While Triton's  victory against Western Harnett wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Hawks narrowly escaped with a  win as the  squad sidled past the Eagles  7-5. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest  victory the Hawks have posted  since March 19th.

  Paisley Lucas was  excellent,  going 2-for-4 with one  stolen base, one  run,  and one  RBI. Those  two  hits gave  her a new career-high.  Berkley Campbell was another key player,  going 3-for-5 with one  run and one  RBI.
The  win made it two in a row for Triton and  bumps their season record up to 15-5. The  victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 6  runs in those games. As for Western Harnett,  this is the second loss in a row for them and  nudges their season record down to 10-9.
 Triton will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Pine Forest at 6:00  p.m.  on  the 30th. The Hawks' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Trojans have averaged an impressive 7.4  runs per game this season. As for Western Harnett, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next  contest,  a  16-9  win against Overhills on the 29th.
