Commerce won the last time they faced Banks County and things went their way on Friday too. The Tigers blew past the Leopards, posting a 37-3 victory. The score at the end of the third wound up being the final score as the Tigers just coasted through the last quarter.

Jace Lyle was a one-man wrecking crew as he rushed for 184 yards on only 15 carries. Those 184 rushing yards gave him a new career-high.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Commerce was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 281 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.

Despite the loss, Banks County still got an impressive performance from Dayden Rogers, who rushed for 230 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 12.8 yards per carry. Those rushing touchdowns were Rogers' first of the season.

Commerce's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-8. As for Banks County, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-9.
