Volleyball Recap: Fox Takes a Loss

Fox lost against Oakville back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Warriors fell 3-1 to the Tigers.

Fox started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 27-29, 25-21, 25-13, 25-20.

Among those leading the charge was Maddy Vandeven, who had six digs and two aces. That's the most aces she has posted over her last nine contests. Olivia Haarmann also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

Fox's defeat dropped their record down to 3-13-1. As for Oakville, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-13-1 record this season.

Fox will host DeSoto at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Warriors are facing the Dragons at the right time seeing as the Dragons are stuck on a ten-game losing streak. As for Oakville, they are taking a road trip to challenge Columbia at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
