Classical Prep falls short of North Tampa Christian Academy in the playoffs

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the Classical Prep Lions can now relate to. They were outmatched by the Titans on the road and fell 56-20. Classical Prep was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 36-6.

Despite the loss, Classical Prep had strong showings from Kaelyn Malloy, who scored nine points along with seven rebounds and two steals, and Mia Milanes, who scored seven points along with seven rebounds. That was a full 45% of Classical Prep's points, marking the 13th time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.

North Tampa Christian Academy was led to victory by Aliyah Harris-Green and Arianna Murray. Harris-Green scored ten points along with eight assists and seven steals, while Murray scored 21 points along with six steals. Harris-Green is crushing the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Jelissa Anderson was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with three steals.

Classical Prep has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 12-9 record this season. As for North Tampa Christian Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 games, which provided a nice bump to their 19-2 record this season.

Classical Prep does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for North Tampa Christian Academy, they will face off against Seven Rivers Christian at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. North Tampa Christian Academy is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
