Baseball Recap: Marion Falls Short of Hallettsville in the Playoffs

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Marion can now relate to. They came up short against the Hallettsville Brahmas on Friday, falling 11-0. The Bulldogs haven't had much luck with the Brahmas recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Marion's loss dropped their record down to 23-7. As for Hallettsville, the victory (which was their 20th in a row) raised their record to 28-3.

Marion does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Hallettsville, they will square off against Falfurrias on Saturday. The Fightin' Jerseys' pitching crew has only allowed 2.7 runs per game this season, so the Brahmas' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
