Softball Recap: Fowler Picks Up Ninth Consecutive Win

Fowler entered their tilt with Parlier on Friday with eight consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with nine. They blew past the Panthers 23-0. Considering the Redcats have won 11 matchups by more than six runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Izzy Lopez made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out six over five innings pitched. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 4-for-4 with four runs and four RBI. That's the most runs she has posted since back in March.

In other batting news, Alexis Alvarado was incredible, going 4-for-5 with four RBI, two runs, and two doubles. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Brooklyn Medeiros, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs, two RBI, and one double.

Fowler hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They are a perfect 13-0 when they post two or more strikeouts.

Fowler's record is now 16-4-1. As for Parlier, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-11.

Fowler didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 20-0 victory against Riverdale on the 29th. As for Parlier, they have also already played their next contest, a 17-1 defeat against Caruthers on the 28th.
