Softball Game Preview: Raymond Rams vs. Trinity Pioneers

The Raymond Rams will venture away from home to square off against the Trinity Pioneers at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Raymond will be strutting in after a win while Trinity will be coming in after a loss.

Raymond was handed a 12-run defeat in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Friday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Newfound Regional, sneaking past 4-3.

Meanwhile, Trinity was not able to break out of their rough patch last Wednesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They came up short against Belmont, falling 10-4.

Catie Bishop made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Josie Cecchetti, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.

Raymond's victory ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-3. As for Trinity, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-5.
