Basketball Recap: Chazy Takes a Loss

Chazy played a tough match on Thursday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They took a blow against the Bolton Central Eagles, falling 64-33. Chazy was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 35-11.

Chazy's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Carly LaPierre, who almost dropped a double-double on 11 points and nine boards, and Stephanie Barriere, who posted ten points. That's the most points Barriere has posted since back in January of 2024. Emma Howell was another key player, putting up seven points.

Bolton Central got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Maille Kelley out in front who put up 26 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jadynn Egloff, who scored 23 points.

This is the second loss in a row for Chazy and nudges their season record down to 7-6. As for Bolton Central, the win (which was their 11th in a row) raised their record to 13-1.

Chazy has already played their next contest (against Indian Lake Central), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Bolton Central didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 60-35 victory against Argyle on the 24th.
