The New York School for the Deaf Golden Tornadoes will head out on the road to square off against the Lexington School for the Deaf Blue Jays at 6:15 p.m. The squads are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: New York School for the Deaf has struggled recently with seven losses in a row, while Lexington School for the Deaf will arrive with six straight wins.
It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 50-23, which was the final score in New York School for the Deaf's tilt against Varsity Opponent last Monday. New York School for the Deaf was down 42-18 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.

Meanwhile, Lexington School for the Deaf put the finishing touches on their sixth blowout victory of the season on Wednesday. They claimed a resounding 70-39 victory over Hallen on the road. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 49-12.
Lexington School for the Deaf's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Cristhian De La Cruz, who scored 16 points along with two steals. De La Cruz hasn't dropped below two steals for six straight games. Another player making a difference was Hunter Larsen, who scored 17 points.
New York School for the Deaf has traveled a rocky road recently having lost 11 of their last 12 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-14 record this season. As for Lexington School for the Deaf, they pushed their record up to 9-5 with that win, which was their third straight on the road.
New York School for the Deaf was dealt a bruising 84-30 defeat at the hands of Lexington School for the Deaf in their previous matchup back in January. The match was all but decided by halftime, at which point New York School for the Deaf was down 32-8.
