Recap: Bunkie Panthers vs. Episcopal Knights
Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, the Bunkie Panthers couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They suffered a rough 38-14 defeat at the hands of the Knights on Friday. Bunkie was down 38-6 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.
Although Bunkie took the loss, they still got scores from Lucas Mose and Dillon Compton.
Braeden George had a dynamite game for Episcopal, rushing for 207 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 10.9 yards per carry. Reid Chauvin was another key contributor, gaining 157 total yards.
Bunkie's defeat dropped their record down to 9-2. As for Episcopal, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-3.
Bunkie does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Episcopal will square off against Newman at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
