Kyle Cox Delivers Electric Effort Vs Hyannis
Sandhills/Thedford picked up their 17th consecutive win on Friday thanks in part to Kyle Cox. Cox was dynamite, rushing for 184 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 11.5 yards per carry, and also throwing for 72 yards and two touchdowns. His rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his 21st straight game with at least 119 rushing yards dating back to last season.
Unfortunately for Hyannis, this isn't the first big game they've seen from Cox. When Cox last faced the Longhorns back in September of 2023, he rushed for 152 yards and three touchdowns on only 13 carries, and also picked up 75 receiving yards and three touchdowns.

Big Game from Kvanvig As Mullen Won 78-12
Mullen found a leader in Tate Kvanvig as the team took down Bayard on Thursday. Nobody could stop Kvanvig as he rushed for 96 yards and four touchdowns on only seven carries. He didn't just play on offense: he also picked up two sacks, forced a fumble, and made four total tackles.
Mullen pushed their record up to 6-2 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. Kvanvig will try to repeat (or improve) on that dominant effort when he faces off against Axtell on Thursday.

Kole Jones Turns in Season-Best Effort
Kole Jones produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Maxwell to the win on Thursday. Jones rushed for 172 yards and four touchdowns on only eight carries, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. That high mark didn't come from nowhere: he has now rushed for 105 or more in the last three games he's played dating back to last season.
For the year, Jones has run in 15 touchdowns while averaging 74.2 rushing yards per game. He is looking even better than he did last year: after eight games last season, he had three rushing touchdowns.

Alex Werner Turns in Another Game with at Least 106 Rushing Yards
Alex Werner produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Mullen to the win on Thursday. Werner's rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his fourth straight game with at least 106 rushing yards dating back to last season.
On the season, Werner has run in 14 touchdowns while averaging 121.2 rushing yards per game. He is looking even better than he did last year: after eight games last season, he was only averaging 7.38 rushing yards per game.
