Baseball Recap: McKinley Red Dragons vs. McDonald Blue Devils
McKinley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 9-3 to the McDonald Blue Devils. McKinley was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as McDonald apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in May of 2021.
Landon Turner made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.
McKinley's defeat dropped their record down to 5-14. As for McDonald, their win was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-4.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. McKinley will take on Howland at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Howland's pitching crew has only allowed 3.6 runs per game this season, so McKinley's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for McDonald, they will head out on the road to square off against Open Door Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
