Basketball Game Preview: Marion County Knights vs. Washington County Commanders

Having just played yesterday, the Marion County Knights will get right back to it and host the Washington County Commanders at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

On Wednesday, Marion County lost to Adair County at home by a 75-56 margin. While losing is never fun, the Knights can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kentucky basketball rankings (they are ranked 138th, while the Indians are ranked 24th).

Meanwhile, Washington County ended up a good deal behind Southern on Monday and lost 68-51. The Commanders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Washington County's defeat dropped their record down to 8-14. As for Marion County, their loss dropped their record down to 14-9.

Marion County was able to grind out a solid win over Washington County in their previous matchup back in January, winning 58-48. Will Marion County repeat their success, or does Washington County have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
