Baseball Game Preview: Lancaster Red Devils vs. Rappahannock Raiders

Lancaster is 2-8 against Rappahannock since April of 2023 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Red Devils are taking a road trip to challenge the Raiders at 7:00 p.m. Lancaster is coming into the game hot, having won their last eight games.

If Lancaster beats Rappahannock with nine runs on Tuesday, it's going to be the team's new lucky number: they've won their past two matchups with that exact score. The Red Devils were the clear victors by a 9-3 margin over Westmoreland on Thursday. The result was nothing new for the Red Devils, who have now won ten contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Rappahannock came out on top against Middlesex on Monday thanks in part to the team's impressive four-run sixth inning. The Raiders took their game against the Chargers 8-3. The Raiders haven't had any issues with the Chargers recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Lancaster's win bumped their record up to 15-4. As for Rappahannock, their victory bumped their record up to 12-3.

Lancaster came up short against Rappahannock in their previous meeting back in June of 2025, falling 5-0. Can the Red Devils avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
