Softball Recap: Fort Wayne Concordia Lutheran Comes Up Short

After flying high against Angola on Monday, Fort Wayne Concordia Lutheran came back down to earth. The Cadets lost 24-8 to the DeKalb Barons on Tuesday. The Cadets haven't had much luck with the Barons recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Abagail Weaver was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-2 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. That run was her first of the season.

Fort Wayne Concordia Lutheran's record is now 1-5. As for DeKalb, their record now sits at 5-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Fort Wayne Concordia Lutheran will host Fort Wayne Wayne at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Cadets are facing the Generals at the right time seeing as the Generals are stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for DeKalb, they will welcome Woodlan at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Warriors will roll in looking for their tenth straight win, something the Barons surely won't give up without a fight.
