After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Somerset Academy South Homestead, Sports Leadership & Management was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 victory over Archimedean. Sports Leadership & Management hasn't had any issues with Archimedean recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

If you add up the scores from across all five sets (103-94) Sports Leadership & Management actually scored fewer points, but in the end it didn't matter. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 17-25, 25-19, 12-25, 15-12.

Jason Morris paced Sports Leadership & Management's offense, picking up nine kills. Morris got some help from Jordan Martinez and his 34 assists. Finally, Alexander Naranjo kept Sports Leadership & Management's defense grounded, leading the team with three blocks.

Sports Leadership & Management's victory bumped their record up to 6-10. As for Archimedean, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-7.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Sports Leadership & Management will welcome Somerset Academy South Homestead at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Archimedean, they will host Cushman at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
